Things To Do in Cape Town

Cape Town is one city that you will not forget in a hurry. Few cities can match its stunning natural setting, and its huge variety of activities, excellent shopping malls and large number of things to see make it a must-visit destination for many people. South Africa has many charms, and as a whole it is a fascinating country. But here's what makes Cape Town the best city to visit when you head to South Africa on holiday.

In the nineteen forties and fifties Cape Town was blessed with a dynamic and far seeing city engineer, Dr.Solly Morris and the city's comprehensive, easily navigable dual carriage way system is his legacy. It is world class and makes getting from point to point quick and painless. This means, choose somewhere with quick access to the system and the city is your oyster.

Being South Africa's most prominent tourist destination is littered with things to do. From eating at world-class restaurants, partying the night away at top-notch clubs or simply sipping cocktails while watching the sun set over pristine beaches and sparkling oceans. From vibrant Long Street and trendy Green Point to Camp's Bay and the Cape Peninsula, cosmopolitan Cape Town will entertain and enthrall all day and night long. With so much on offer it's difficult to narrow a list of things to do in Cape Town to just five essentials. But, after much deliberating we have done just that. So without hesitation, here are the five things to do in Cape Town before you leave. Enjoy!

Nothing can be better than staying in a hotel, which is surrounded by natural beauty. Fresnaye is one of the most loved places of this city. This area is blessed with natural beauty. You will get to see some really attractive sites over here, which are going to captivate your attention like anything else. This area is located at Lion's Head. The slopes of Loin's Head cuddle this beautiful place, which lies between Bantry Bay and Sea Point. This area is considered to be one of the most posh and luxury residential areas in the Cape Town City. The real estate of this area has become extremely valuable. If you want to know about some really attractive and beautiful spots of this area, then you can never forget to visit Robben Island, which is near Fresnaye.

The city is home to many of South Africa's modern-day foreign embassies, including the Dutch embassy - reinforcing that motif of past, present and future - as well as many newer commercial buildings. In addition, the Cape Town stadium (built on the site of the old Green Point Stadium) will play host to a few games in the World Cup in Summer 2010, including matches featuring Spain, Italy, France and, importantly, England and Holland. Whenever you choose to visit South Africa, the attraction of this stunning city cannot be stressed enough. It is one of those places that is worth travelling to if you are in any position to get there.

Cape Town is a fantastic destination for any holiday and you'll have an amazing time when you visit. With so many things to see, hear, smell, taste and touch, it is an exciting holiday destination that you will never tire of exploring.
