Places In Oman

There is a beautiful country in Asia that has many different wonders to explore for people who wish to travel to exotic places. Oman holidays are not only a great way to explore the world; they are also a way to learn about new cultures and ancient histories. Bordered by Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates on land, and the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Oman by sea, there is no end to the many fun things that can take place on an Oman travel.

For the history buffs out there, Oman is a place rich in cultural lore. The place called Wattayah in Oman is one of the oldest areas in the world that was a human settlement during the Stone Age. Although the place is much more up to date nowadays, Wattayah can still allow people to see how things were long ago. There are many rock drawings displaying the tasks that were a part of daily life in those days such as the types of animals the people hunted, the weapons they wielded, and many other types of items such as arrowheads, weapons, and tools. Remnants of the Bronze Age have also been found here!

Because Oman holidays are well-known for their clear blue waters, mountains, wadis, deserts, and beaches. Many people of other cultures find that this is the best time of year for a vacation. Oman is a pretty safe country, and serious crime is rare. The Omani people expect respect as well as give respect to foreigners; they are quite friendly and curious people. Their food is quite an experience. It is not spicy and served in large portions. Although if you find yourself missing the food from home American food chains are not hard to find in their much larger cities. In recent years Oman has been working its way up to accommodate travelers. They now have anywhere from luxurious five star hotels, higher end resorts, to huts in the desert made of palm leaves.

Oman hotels are reasonably priced and offer all the amenities you would expect from a world-class vacation destination. There is something for everyone. The children can frolic on the beach during the day while the adults can go bar hopping at night. Oman's nightlife is incredible. Many Muscat hotels offer music, dinning and dancing. There are also many nightclubs, restaurants and bars that cater to the international party crowd. International travelers use the hotels in Oman as home base from which they can explore this secret desert playground.

Quriyat is almost a central city that you may stay the night in, if you wish to venture out to other ocean side towns and villages. As fishing is a mainstay for many of the Oceanside villages and towns, these day excursions will offer highlights of these events on arrival. Two other towns you should consider visiting, because you will be so close to them in Quriyat, is Masarah and Wadi Daykah. These two are fishing villages, but well worth the visit! The atmosphere and the ambiance of the quaintness makes them charming. In Wadi, there is a nearly completed Damn, that may offer more interest and should be visited if you have time.
